CashKitab and Vyapar are worth comparing when a business wants to move everyday records away from scattered notes. The right starting point is not the number of features on a landing page. It is whether you primarily need a clear cashbook and khata, or a broader billing, inventory and reporting workflow.

CashKitab’s current release policy is 100% free, including all premium features. Vyapar describes both free and paid offerings. A free download is not enough to determine which product covers your particular devices, reports and working arrangements.

This comparison uses publisher pages checked on 26 October 2026. It does not claim hands-on performance results or that either product is universally better.

Start with the job you need to finish

CashKitab’s published features cover money in/out, customer and supplier khata, bills, quotes, receipts, shared books, available roles, repeating entries and PDF/CSV book reports. Offline access concerns records saved on the device after setup; online services still need a connection.

Vyapar’s product overview presents a wider billing and inventory-oriented business-software proposition. That makes its exact workflow worth evaluating if stock handling or a specific statutory-reporting requirement is central to your day.

This article covers CashKitab’s advertised record-keeping and invoicing scope. It does not certify CashKitab as an equivalent for every inventory, tax-report or industry-specific workflow offered elsewhere.

What is different about free and paid access?

Vyapar’s own free-versus-paid mobile guide, published on 9 December 2025, associates paid access with multi-device sharing/sync, removing vendor branding and additional reports and business tools. It points readers to its pricing page for current plan rates.

Treat that as the publisher’s guide to the distinction, then confirm the selected plan today. It is not a guarantee that every regional edition, device license or future version has identical entitlements.

The publisher’s newer September 2026 billing guide also explains that basic billing and stock features can be available without upgrading, while requirements such as detailed reports and additional users make plan selection more important. It would be inaccurate to describe every Vyapar billing or inventory feature as paid-only.

Decision CashKitab’s published current position What to confirm for Vyapar
Premium access Included in the current free release Which capabilities require a paid plan
Daily records Cashbooks, khata and bills How billing and account records fit your workflow
Working together Shared books and available roles Sharing/sync and device entitlements
Documents Quotes, invoices, receipts and book exports Required invoice layout, branding and report format
Specialized workflow Evaluate the advertised scope Required inventory or statutory-report tools
Availability Check the CashKitab release page Check the edition and platforms you need

The point is to verify the required task, rather than infer parity from a matching word such as “reports” or “sync.”

How should you compare the actual price?

Use Vyapar’s official pricing page with the country, platform, license period and device combination you intend to buy. This article does not present an unverified universal Vyapar price. Promotional figures and platform-specific offers should not be treated as the same quotation for every reader.

For any paid option, write down the full amount due, renewal period, tax, number of licenses and the feature or device that triggers the upgrade. Then compare that cost with the work it enables. An annual figure divided by twelve can help budget, but it does not turn an annual purchase into monthly billing.

For CashKitab, the current published product charge is zero and there is no paid upgrade to unlock the current feature set. That does not remove ordinary internet costs, make online services work offline, or establish an unlimited-capacity promise.

Which product deserves a closer look?

If your task list centers on daily transactions, customer udhar, bills and sharing understandable records, evaluate CashKitab’s free offering and confirm when the required platform is available. Its download page distinguishes launch preparation from released destinations.

If you require a particular billing, stock or statutory-report workflow, inspect Vyapar’s relevant edition and confirm that exact requirement with its publisher. A successful test using your real document format and device arrangement is more useful than a generic feature-count comparison.

Before moving records, keep an independent export and test a small sample. Check opening balances, part payments, the selected currency and report dates. This is a practical validation step, not a claim that either product provides a one-click migration from the other.
